Joao Salomao

Joao Salomao holds a Civil Engineering degree from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (Mozambique), class of 1975, a Postgraduate
Diploma, with distinction in Sanitary Engineering, from the International Institute for Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, Delft, The Netherlands, class of 1980, and a magnum cum laude Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Universidade do Minho (Portugal) in 1986.

He was Assistant Professor at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane till 2004.

He was Minister of Public Works and Housing in the Government of the Republic of Mozambique from 1987 to 1994.
He was a management and engineering consultant in Mozambique, South Africa and Angola from 1994 until 2015. Since 2021, he has been working in conservation.
